When Akshay Manorama realised that books hadn’t changed in centuries, he didn’t try to build a better e-reader—he decided to reinvent the book itself.
Now, his startup WOLIO has raised 2.5M in angel funding to do just that.
WOLIO is the first AI-powered platform that rewrites books in real time, tailoring every sentence to fit the reader’s mindset, learning goals, personality, and tone preference. The result? No two people ever read the same book—and no one reads the same book twice.
“We’ve personalised everything—ads, feeds, movies. But books stayed static. WOLIO is here to change that,” said Akshay Manorama, Founder & CEO.
The 2.5M round will be used to:
Build the MVP (web-based)
Develop real-time rewriting AI pipelines
Launch early experiments with AI-persona books
Grow the product, engineering, and UX teams
WOLIO is being built with a clear focus on intellectual property, ethical AI design, and immersive user experience. A closed beta is expected by the end of 2025.
With this raise, WOLIO joins a wave of founder-led startups reimagining the creative experience—not by adding more content, but by reshaping how we experience it.
