The hinge has been refined as well. It’s more solid and seamless, with almost no wobble. Most importantly, the middle crease on the inner screen is virtually undetectable unless you’re actively seeking it out. This was the first time a foldable ever felt elegant in hand — not merely useful.
No S Pen — But There’s a Reason
Samsung has cut S Pen support in this iteration — a move widely debated by die-hard Note enthusiasts and past Fold users. But in return, we have a harder and thinner inner screen. Although stylus users will be missing out, the trade-off makes the device more pocket-friendly and resilient, which is good for the general users.
Display: Just Gorgeous
Both of the Fold 7 screens are fantastic. The outer 6.5-inch AMOLED display is bright, clear, and convenient for making phone calls, snapping a quick pic, or fast tasks. The star of the show, however, is the inner 8-inch QXGA+ AMOLED display with its 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. Cameras: No Longer a Compromise

Charging speeds, however, are disappointing. The 25W wired and 15W wireless charging feels slow in 2025, especially compared to rivals that support 65W or even 100W fast charging. If you’re coming from a fast-charging phone, you’ll notice the difference.

At ₹1,74,999, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is undeniably expensive. Competitors like the Vivo X Fold 5 offer lower prices, but there’s a reason Samsung can command a premium. For starters, you’re getting the latest Snapdragon chip, an unmatched foldable ecosystem, and up to seven years of software updates — something no other foldable brand currently matches.

Yes, it is expensive. Yes, there is no S Pen integration. And yes, charging speeds are suboptimal. But these are small complaints in otherwise the most polished and finished foldable Samsung has ever produced.
