Prime Video has expanded its content offerings in India with the launch of Anime Times on Prime Video Channels, marking its debut in the country. This move brings the first anime channel to the platform, a popular genre already available in Japan. The annual subscription fee for Anime Times in the Indian market is ₹899.

The Anime Times library encompasses a wide array of titles, including popular shows like SPY×FAMILY, HUNTER x HUNTER, Fairy Tale Movie Houou No Miko, Tokyo Revengers, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, Mob Psycho 100, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Goblin Slayer, Zombieland Saga, and many more.

Vivek Srivastava, Head of Prime Video Channels in India, underscored the platform’s commitment to offering diverse content. He stated, “Over the past few years, anime content has gained significant fandom in India. With the launch of Anime Times on Prime Video Channels, we are expanding our anime programming with over hundreds of hours of programming and bringing movies and TV shows for Prime members.”

Hideo Katsumata, CEO of Anime Times Company, expressed excitement about bringing Anime Times to Indian audiences for the first time. He highlighted the global phenomenon of Japanese anime culture, leading to a growing interest in Japanese entertainment and culture worldwide. The introduction of Anime Times aims to cater to the increasing enthusiasm for anime among fans and enthusiasts in India, offering access to a vast collection of shows and movies, both recent and classic, through Prime Video Channels.

The annual subscription fee of ₹899 for Anime Times positions it as an accessible option for Indian viewers seeking a dedicated platform for anime content. The move aligns with the rising popularity of anime in India and demonstrates Prime Video’s commitment to meeting the diverse entertainment preferences of its audience.

As Anime Times makes its debut on Prime Video Channels in India, it is expected to contribute to the platform’s growing success by offering a unique and engaging anime experience to viewers across the country.
